Welcome to Valerie Rosenberg, who will be leading the next phase of the Mobility Works technical assistance collaborative. Mobility Works will continue to offer training, coaching, program development, grant-writing, opportunity mapping, program evaluation, and other technical assistance for public housing agencies and non-profits seeking to build or expand housing mobility programs.
“Building from the positive energy of last fall’s National Conference on Housing Mobility, we are thrilled to welcome Valerie,” said Adria Crutchfield, Chair of the Mobility Works Board of Directors. “Valerie brings an entrepreneurial spirit and deep commitment to those living in assisted housing to this work and my board colleagues and I are excited for her to begin engaging with housing providers across the country.”
As Executive Director of Mobility Works, Valerie is focusing on establishing our member network and expanding our areas of practice. She is a collaborative leader who strives to reinforce and leverage the many assets of her team members and stakeholders. She joined Mobility Works from the field of philanthropy, where she was Chief of Staff of two private foundations, providing nimble leadership across the foundations’ programs, operations, communications, and organizational development. Previously, she was Vice President of the Fund for Public Housing and Deputy Director of Public/Private Partnerships at the New York City Housing Authority, where she cultivated strategic investments in public housing communities. She has also worked in policy development and analysis, advocacy, education, and direct social service provision, and she is passionate about social justice systems change. Valerie holds a BA from Brandeis University and an MPP from the University of California, Berkeley.
